Engineering Major
BC’s major in engineering will prepare you for a challenging and rewarding career in mechanical engineering, robotics, aerospace, electrical systems, and technology, and manufacturing. Take advantage of hands-on learning opportunities in our electronics laboratory, mechanical design and fabrication lab, and 3D printing lab. Collaborate with other students on engineering projects and more.
Research Highlight
Rachel Zarin ’20, who double majored in applied physics and health and exercise science, completed a summer research project in 2019 with funding from the Dr. John Martin Summer Science Research Institute. For the project, Zarin created a 3-D printed prosthetic arm to which she attached motors and sensors to keep the hand level as it moves. After graduation, she went on to receive her master of science in engineering in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and now works as a biomedical technology developer.
