Bridgewater College’s Jazz Ensemble will present a concert on April 13. The concert, “The Soundtrack of Our Lives,” features familiar music from various time periods.
Bridgewater College’s Jazz Ensemble will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in Cole Hall, as part of ASPIRE (A Celebration of the Arts, Scholarship, Performance, Innovation and Research Excellence). ASPIRE events will be held April 5-23.
The Jazz Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Christine Carrillo, associate professor of music and director of instrumental music at Bridgewater College.
The concert, “The Soundtrack of Our Lives,” features familiar music from various time periods.
Among the pieces to be performed are “A String of Pearls” by Jerry Gray, “Manteca” by Dizzy Gillespie and “Hunting Wabbits” by Gordon Goodwin. The ensemble will also perform “The Queen Bee” by Sammy Nestico and “The Incredibles” from The Incredibles movies, by Michael Giacchino.
The concert is free and open to the public.
