Searching for an on-campus job?
All on-campus jobs are posted on BC’s student job portal, Handshake.
Here’s how to get started:
- Activate your Handshake account using your @eagles.bridgewater.edu email address.
- Once your account is activated, follow the link below to search for on-campus jobs.
- Create a resume highlighting your work experience, skills, and abilities.
- Apply for on-campus jobs using your new resume.
All on-campus jobs require candidates to submit a resume, so BC’s Center for Career Development offers resources to help students develop their materials. You can attend a Resume Workshop or schedule a one-on-one appointment (in-person or virtual) with a Career Center staff member.
- Resume & Cover Letter Workshops
Designed for those who don’t already have resumes and cover letters, these workshops explain the basics so students can develop their own. Sign-up for Workshops. - One-on-One Resume & Cover Letter Review Appointments
These appointments are for students who have existing resumes and/or cover letters and would like feedback on their content and formatting. Schedule an Appointment. - Online Career Resource Library: bridgewater.edu/career-resource-library/
The CCD Resource Library provides sample documents and best practices that students should use while developing resumes and cover letters. Here’s a sampling of the resources provided:
- Resume and cover letter guides and best practices
- Sample resumes and cover letters
- Action verbs for resumes and cover letters
Once you’ve been hired for an on-campus job, you’ll receive an email from HR/Student Employment with next steps. The next steps include the following:
- Paycom Account Registration and Paycom App download
- On-boarding paperwork (student employee checklist in Paycom):
- Direct Deposit (no paper checks will be issued)
