Bridgewater College’s Nolen School of Business and Professional Studies Honors Outstanding Students

Bridgewater College’s Rev. Wilfred E. and Dr. Joyce A. Nolen School of Business and Professional Studies recognized 11 students for their outstanding achievements during the annual College Awards ceremony on April 20, 2024. 

Department of Economics and Business Administration 
Jillian Rife received the Outstanding Senior in Economics and Business Administration Award for being the most exceptional graduating senior within the department. 

Teacher Education Program 
Sydni Maul, Logan Petrie and Mallory Thompson received the Student Leadership Award for each demonstrating an exemplary ability to act as a positive role-model to peers within the program. 

Heidi Hull, Cara Rhodes and MacKenzie Young received the Excellence in Research Award for outstanding education research in areas such as pedagogical methods, evidence-based strategies or other topics related to best practices in teaching. 

Department of Health and Human Sciences 
Caroline Griffin received the Health and Human Sciences Excellence in Academics award for embracing learning, demonstrating excellence in her grade point average and engaging in the learning process in the classroom and beyond. 

Sydni Maul received the Health and Human Sciences Excellence in Leadership and Service award for outstanding leadership, character and service as a student in the department. 

The Department of Health and Human Sciences also selected three students as Majors of the Year. These students were recognized as the most outstanding senior students in their respective majors who demonstrate strong academic skills, are positive role models for other students and are actively involved in the classroom and career-related experiences alike. This year’s Majors of the Year were Katelyn Seagraves for the health and exercise science major, Madi Serttas for the health and physical education major and Eva Merical for the human development and family science major.
