Bridgewater College offices will be closed starting at noon on Friday, December 20 through Wednesday, January 1 for the holiday season. Campus offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 2.

For those wishing to make a contribution to the College in this tax year, gifts can be made at bridgewater.edu/give or by mail to Bridgewater College, Box 33, 402 East College Street, Bridgewater VA 22812. Credit card gifts must be completed on or before December 31, 2024, to be counted as a 2024 gift. Checks must be postmarked on or before December 31, 2024. Please call 540-828-5448 with any questions, and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Amani Taylor Awarded Bridgewater College’s 2022 Humanities Award

Bridgewater College junior Amani Taylor received the 2022 Ruth and Steve Watson Humanities Award.

The award, which comes with a $2,000 scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year, recognizes rising juniors or seniors who demonstrate dedication and sensitivity for the humanities courses embedded in the liberal arts tradition of Bridgewater College.

Taylor, a psychology major from Annapolis, Md., is a member of the international psychology honor society Psi Chi. She is president of the Creative Writing Club at BC and a tutor in the campus Writing Center.

After graduating from BC in 2023, Taylor plans to attend graduate school with the goal of becoming a clinician.
