Bridgewater College’s Symphonic Band to Perform on Nov. 12

The Bridgewater College Symphonic Band will present a concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, in Cole Hall on the College’s campus. The Symphonic Band is under the direction of Dr. Christine Carrillo, associate professor of music at Bridgewater College.

The concert will open with “National Emblem March” by Edwin Eugene Bagley, arranged by Loras J. Schissel. “A Zillion Nickels” by Samuel R. Hazo will follow, then “Colonial Song” by Percy Aldridge Grainger.

The Symphonic Band will then play “Tremor,” a piece composed by Dr. Ryan Keebaugh, assistant professor of music and a 2002 alum of BC. In a tribute to Veterans Day, “Missing Man” by Jerker Johansson will follow.

The concert will conclude with “Little Mexican Suite” movement 3, Sahuaro, by Nubia Jaime-Donjuan and “Fracas” by Randall D. Standridge.

The performance is free and open to the public.
